Fregate Island Private has just 17 villas; each constructed from mahogany, with thatch roofs and private infinity pools just steps from the powdery white sand beach.
Fregate Island Private has a wonderful spa, two infinity pools, two restaurants and two bars as well as options for romantic private dining, in the tree house or on the stunning beach. Fregate Island Private rates include all meals and non-alcoholic drinks.

What’s so Special?
Frégate Island’s seven beaches are among the most beautiful beaches in the world for swimming, snorkelling, diving and a variety of other water sports; for an unforgettable Champagne picnic; or just for some secluded sun worshipping.
Anse Victorin with its pure white sand fringed by palm trees is regularly voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Two of the beaches have ‘occupied’ signs – if you would like to have the beach all to yourselves – for the ultimate in privacy.
No day visitors are allowed to Fregate Island and with just 17 villas, the atmosphere is always tranquil and exclusive. Enjoy nature walks with resident ecologist Steve Hill to discover the endemic birdlife, Coco de Mer palms, ancient pirate lairs, and giant tortoises.
Frégate Island Private has its own source of fresh water and most of the fruit, vegetables, salads and herbs consumed on the island are home grown.

One-Bedroom Villas
Positioned to guarantee ultimate privacy, each of the 13 One Bedroom Villas (300-400 sq. m.) is built of native mahogany and clad in rich African Chamfuta Teak wood, blending harmoniously into its natural surroundings.
Most villas are set on the gently sloping hillside to maximise the views, although Number 1 and 2 villas are set in gardens low down, making them more suited for families.
The typical villa plan features square spaces rotated 45 degrees, maximising views of the ocean through two facades. The tropical feel of the buildings is intentionally casual, in keeping with the surroundings. Interior architecture is simple, natural and elegant.
Villas consist of one bedroom; one living room; interconnecting vestibule with dining facilities, one large bathroom; one small bathroom and two outdoor showers.
Each villa features a large terrace - with daybed and Jacuzzi - which flows from the interior as part of an extended living area.
Each villa has a designated private butler.
Two-Bedroom Villas
There are also 2 Two-Bedroom Villas (Villas 3 and 15), which offer 500 sq. m. of space, accommodating up to 6 people.
Two-bedroom villas feature two bedrooms; one living room; an interconnecting vestibule with dining facilities; two large bathrooms; one small bathroom; three outdoor showers; a large terrace with private pool, Jacuzzi; day bed and dining pavilion.
Spa Villa
The Spa Villa (500 sq. m.) has a separate room for private spa treatments. This second room can be converted into a second bedroom instead.

Frégate Island Private offers 5 different dining experiences, with cuisine influenced by the abundance and diversity of ingredients cultivated on Frégate Island.
Frégate Island Private has its own source of fresh water and most of the fruit, vegetables, salads and herbs consumed on the island are homegrown.
In addition to a vibrant profusion of naturally growing fruit - including mangos, papayas, guava, bilimbi (related to star fruit), coconuts, melons and bananas - a dedicated team of gardeners cultivate a wide range of organic produce in the island's plantation and Hydroponics House.
Fregate House
The gourmet menu at Frégate House features the Chef's daily selection of local produce, with dining available both in the restaurant and on the lower terrace.
Plantation House
Every evening the Plantation House – a museum by day – transforms into a romantic restaurant serving traditional Creole dishes and island specialities. This historical building evokes the island's heritage and is a wonderful venue for al fresco dining.
Island Dining
In addition to the restaurants and bars, guests can enjoy bespoke dining experiences anywhere on the island! Dinner in the Tree House, serenaded by birdsong, barbecues on the beach or at the Yacht Club, private candlelight dinners in the privacy of a villa – there are plentiful choices for romance.
Pirates Bar
The Pirate’s Bar, overlooking Anse Bambous, and the Anse Bambous Beach Bar also offer light snacks and drinks at lunch and dinner.
