Le Quartier Francais is South Africa's finest food & wine establishment, located in the Franschoek valley surrounded by an amphitheatre of stunning Cape fold Mountains, less than an hours drive away from Cape Town in the heart of the wine-growing region.
Le Quartier Francais is first and foremost about food followed by its comfortable suites, making this an ideal option for foodies.
The Tasting Room, restaurant is Le Quartier Francais' flagship restaurant with its banquet style 8-course tasting menus and fine wines all prepared by Executive chef Margot Janse.
Le Quartier Francais has just 17 rooms, including 9 Auberge Rooms, slightly larger Grand Rooms and 5 Suites, including 2 Auberge Suites with private pools.
The Reading Room is a great area in which to relax, read a book or make new friends. The Lounge Bar is a more stylish social area where guests can enjoy cocktails, bar drinks and snacks and is a great place to meet up with the locals.
The Bread & Wine is a relaxed and rustic lunchtime venue offering al-fresco dining.

Le Quartier Francais is a small privately owned luxury boutique hotel in Franschhoek and almost single handedly put Franschhoek on the map as the gourmet capital of South Africa.
The staff are fantastic, the rooms really comfortable and much attention has been paid to smaller details.
Bear in Mind
Dining at the Tasting Room is a dining experience of a lifetime and advance bookings are essential. We are able to assist in confirming reservations.
The Garden Room and the Lounge Bar have been redesigned and now form the eclectic and free flowing 'The Living Room'.
Classic Rooms
Classic Rooms (42 sq. m) are situated in The Manor House and Max House, and offer various views, from the manicured gardens to the farm dam, orchards, vineyards, dramatic mountain backdrops and the village of Franschhoek.
The rooms feature king-size beds (one can be converted into twin beds), a writing desk area, a sitting area and generous wardrobe space.
Luxury Rooms
Luxury Rooms (55 sq. m) are situated in The Manor House, Cellar Cottage and Vineyard Cottage, and offer various views, from the manicured gardens and vineyards to the Franschhoek mountains and village.
Studio Rooms
These rooms (63 sq. m), each with its own terrace and fireplace are situated in The Manor House and above Leeu Spa, with easy access to the spa facility, gym and pool; and Pomegranate Cottage.
They all offer views of the manicured gardens, vineyards and mountains.
