Dhara Devi Hotel

The Dhara Dhevi is a large and luxurious resort with a remarkably peaceful ambience; in a quiet rural setting about 5 minutes drive from the centre of Chiang Mai.

The Dhara Dhevi offers antique style Thai buildings, working rice paddies and a wide choice of accommodation.

The  Dhara Dhevi is set amongst 60 acres, which means that there still seems to be plenty of space, even when the hotel is busy.

Accommodation is in two broad types, with spacious and luxurious rooms in the Colonial Wing and the Lanna style private Villas.

Very spacious two-storey Villas bring to life the architecture and design of Lanna Thai style, made with rich bronze teak wood that blends with the natural surroundings. Most have dining areas, outdoor plunge pools or even a piano! These are true retreats set amidst paddy fields and ornate gardens.

Farang Ses

Farang Ses is one of the most acclaimed French restaurants in Thailand, combining delicious cuisine with wonderful views and a beautiful décor. 

Located in a magnificent Lanna style building overlooking paddy fields and tall coconut palms, the restaurant’s vaulted wooden interior features elegantly sculpted chandeliers and enormous teak pillars clad in sheets of beaten copper relief.

Serving some of the finest French cuisine in Thailand, the menu features a choice of quintessentially French delicacies such as foie gras and Brittany lobster. Served with Mediterranean-inspired accompaniments such as polenta or crisp frisee salad, dishes offer the wonderful tastes of the French countryside. 

Fujian

Fujian is a Chinese restaurant designed in the style of a 1930’s Shanghai Mansion.

Named after the prosperous Chinese province famed for black tea, Fujian specialises in authentic Cantonese and contemporary Chinese cuisine. Overlooking the Kad Dhara shopping village, the restaurant is housed in a stunning two-storey mansion and decorated with rare art and antiques.

Fujian is renowned for its delicious dim sum lunches, served every day in traditional bamboo steamers. During the evening, the menu offers dishes representing a variety of Chinese regional cooking styles including classic Cantonese and spicy Sichuan. In keeping with the Chinese ‘family style’ meal, portions are intended to share.

Akaligo

Akaligo means ‘Timeless’, and enjoys a light and airy feel with large windows overlooking landscaped gardens, Akaligo is open every day for a breakfast buffet and on Sundays for Jazz Brunch. 

Breakfast is a leisurely affair with guests able to sit inside or outside on a pretty terrace.

Facilities

We love the huge swimming pool at Dhara Dhevi which features Jacuzzi jets and underwater piped music.
