Shanti Maurice is a boutique resort in Mauritius quiet south coast, situated on one of the best beaches in Mauritius.
Shanti Maurice has a great collection of Suites and Villas, all of which offer views of the beach.
The 44 very spacious Junior Suites (81 sq. m.) blend modernity with practicality, set in attractive villa buildings with four suites per villa.
The ground floor suites have direct access to the beach, as well as an outdoor rain shower, while the suites on the first floor have large balconies overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Shanti Maurice’s 8 Villas (208 sq. m) are really stunning, with private gardens shielding the villas from the beach and surrounding paths.
Luxury Villas each have a swimming pool, a garden and an enclosed courtyard with an outdoor rain shower and lounge beds as well as a ‘Sala’ pavilion, for dining or relaxation.
Families are very welcomed at Shanti Maurice and the Kid’s Club has a toddler’s pool, games room (including snooker, table football and tennis), children’s DVD films, computers, Play Station and Wii games.
What’s so Special?
Alongside the beautiful beach and stunning villas, the gardens are one of the best features of Shanti Maurice - always beautiful kept and full of birdsong.
The tropical grounds include ponds, lawns and a small indigenous forest. Mango and Lychee trees grow in the orchard and Bread Fruit trees, Coconut palms, Bougainvillea and Frangipani can be seen across the public and private villa gardens.

The beach is always tranquil, since only non-motorised watersports, including windsurfing, sailing, pedal boats, snorkelling and kayaking are offered.
Junior Suites with Ocean View
These Suites offer elegant sophistication overlooking the ocean, with panoramic windows, large balconies and spacious dressing rooms.
Each Junior Suite with ocean view is decorated in neutral earthy tones and has large sliding doors which open onto the balcony to let the fresh sea breeze flow into the room.
All Junior Suites are equipped with a plasma TV, DVD player, complimentary Wi-Fi, a large bathroom, and a separate dressing room with an open closet and dressing table.
Junior Suites with Beach Access
These ground floor suites enjoy a terrace and garden leading directly to the beach and an outdoor rain shower.
Junior Suites have a spacious bedroom area with a comfortable bed and furnishings that complement the soothing decor.
A separate dressing room with an open closet and large bathroom, plasma TV, DVD player, and complimentary Wi-Fi all enhance the comfort.
Junior Suites Oceanfront
Junior Suites (81 sq. m) boast an oceanfront location on the first floor and benefit from uninterrupted panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and Shanti Maurice's private beaches.
You can sit or dine on your private sheltered verandah and sail away with the natural sights, sounds and smells of the ocean.
Junior Suites Beachfront
Many Junior Suites boast a beachfront location on the ground floor - within touching distance of the soft white sand in the secluded beach area.
The suites come with a private verandah furnished with comfortable natural wooden sunbeds and a refreshing outdoor shower.
Lie in your plush bed, watch the trees swaying in the ocean breeze, and listen to the sounds of the sea.

Which Airlines do you use?
We work with all the major airlines flying to Mauritius.
Typically for Mauritius we will use British Airways for direct flights.
There are currently five-times-weekly flights from Gatwick in the winter and three flights a week in summer.
There are also four-times-weekly flights from Heathrow direct to Mauritius with Air Mauritius.
The flying time for direct flights is around 12 hours.
We also commonly use Emirates via Dubai, Qatar Airways via Doha and Etihad via Abu Dhabi. These all allow stopover options in the Arabian Gulf to create a multi-centre holiday.
South African Airways are another airline we frequently use for combining a safari and beach holiday to South Africa and Mauritius.

Which Hotels do you use?
We're careful with our choice of resorts in Mauritius, but we're guided by our customers also. If you have some preferred hotels, just let us know.
We specialise in boutique & luxury hotels and so we will often suggest some of our favourite smaller luxury hotels in Mauritius where we think these will be suitable.
When is the best time to visit Mauritius?
The driest time of year to visit Mauritius is normally between June and September. May to October is the dry season.
April to May and October to November can be the best value times of year to visit Mauritius as these are shoulder-season periods.

Do I need a visa for Mauritius?
If you're travelling on British Passports, no visa is required for Mauritius for stays of up to a month.
Please double check before travel however as visa requirements are subject to change at any time.
