Set on a private beachfront reserve, on Quizales Beach, the intimate Tango Mar offers beautiful rooms with garden or ocean views in a lovely natural setting.
All air-conditioned rooms are fully-equipped and come with a minibar, coffee maker, satellite TV and a private bathroom.
Tropical Suites and Tiki Suites at Tango Mar include a hot tub. Villas with equipped kitchen and private pool are also available.
Offering stunning ocean views, the Cristobal Restaurant serves delicious breakfasts and dinners.
The food at Tango Mar is excellent, a great combination of Costa Rican and international cuisine.

What's so Special?
The private beach location is great and the setting is very beautiful - it feels very close to nature here, with howler and white faced monkeys present in the hotel grounds.
There is plenty to do around the area including horse riding (the hotel has its own stables).
Snorkelling and scuba diving are excellent on nearby Tortuga Island.
Tango Mar tends to attract more Europeans in general than Americans (so dare we say the ambience is more sophisticated than in many of Costa Rica's larger hotels).
You may come across Hilda, Tango Mar's owner who goes to great lengths to ensure guests are happy.
Bear in mind
The hotel is quite isolated - about 45 minutes from town so popping into town isn't convenient.
It's a surf beach here so expect breaking waves.
Tropical Suites
The 12 Tropcial Stuies are set about 80 metres from the beach and the golf course.
Each suite has a hand carved four-post canopy king-size bed and a Jacuzzi.
Bathrooms feature showers and hairdryers.
Sun decks provide excellent spots to enjoy viewing passing monkeys.
