Chalets

Accommodation consists of 46 cool and spacious wooden chalets set either right on the beachfront, shaded by coconut palms, or around a pretty garden area.

The wooden chalets on stilts boast air-conditioning and covered terraces, and are fitted with tropical bamboo furniture.

The choice chalets are those sitting right on the beach facing the sea.

However, those who prefer a bit more privacy, peace and quiet can opt for the chalets set a little further back from the sea, either with a jungle backdrop or those placed around the garden area.

Family chalets, which consist of two interconnecting chalets with a back-to-back door, are perfect for family retreats.

All chalets are less than a minute’s walk from the beach and offer spectacular views of neighbouring Pulau Perhentian Kecil and the shimmering South China Sea.

Rooms are laid out and decorated in restful beige and white tones, while the large aluminium sliding windows let in plenty of light.

Simple wooden and bamboo furniture fits the island style and adjustable reading lights are a nice feature.

The blue and beige-tiled bathrooms have two spacious, curtained hot-shower areas.

Each chalet has a wooden veranda and two comfortable seats.

Tuna Cafe

Tuna Cafe is Tuna Bay’s restaurant, a bright and airy dining area, set on stilts over the beach and open to the cooling sea breeze, an ideal place for a leisurely lunch or a romantic evening meal.

Asian and Continental dishes and fresh seafood barbeques are served.

Tuna Club

At the end of a long day under the warm Perhentian sun, chill out and unwind at the Tuna Club - the perfect place to just kick back, relax and enjoy the company of your fellow guests in a casual, sociable setting.

There’s a huge range of cocktails on offer, as well as beers, fresh tropical juices, ice-cream, and many other drinks and snacks. Satellite TV is also available if you want to catch up on the latest sporting action.

Activities

Pulau Perhentian's lush rainforest is great for trekking, as the island's remarkable biodiversity is matched by a good network of jungle trails. Ask at the resort to arrange a guide.

The resort is blessed with an amazing house reef within wading distance just off the beach. For those who don’t fancy boat snorkelling, the house reef is perfect for both young and old to explore.

Snorkelling trips to the island’s famous snorkelling sites by boat are worth trying and are only 5 to 10 minutes away by speedboat. The islands are designated as a marine park area and snorkelling is safe for both young and old.

Diving and snorkelling equipment is available for hire at the Resort.
