Day 1: UK – Havana
Fly UK to Havana. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel.
Overnight Havana.
Day 2: Havana
In the morning your English speaking Cuban guide will pick you up at the hotel.
Visit one of Havana's well-known cigar factories (H. Upmann, La Corona, Romeo y Julieta or Partagas).
Enjoy a panoramic tour through the Havana of the 19th and early 20th century.
Enjoy lunch at restaurant 'La Imprenta' in famous Calle Mercaderes, known as the most beautiful restored street of the historic centre of Havana.
In the afternoon enjoy a walking tour through Havana’s old town, designated as a UNESCO World heritage site.
Enjoy dinner at a private restaurant (Paladar) which has a very special ambiance.
Later in the evening, there is the chance to attend the world famous Tropicana show for a colourful experience of Havana.

Day 3: Havana - Viñales - Havana
Drive on the Tobacco route to Pinar del Rio province and visit Casa del Veguero (the house of a tobacco farmer).
Enjoy the spectacular views from Los Jazmines viewpoint over the Mogote valley with its spectacular limestone formations.
Have lunch at Finca Paraiso surrounded by splendid nature before continuing on to Mural de la Prehistoria, a mural which took 18 people 4 years to complete.
Visit the Indian cave including a short boat ride along an underground river.
Return to Havana in the late afternoon with dinner at the hotel included.

Day 4: Havana - Bay of pigs - Santa Clara
Drive along the historic Bay of Pigs towards the centre of the island.
After lunch, continue to the historic city of Santa Clara, where Ché Guevara won his most important victory.
Visit the Ché Guevara mausoleum and learn something about revolutionary Cuba.
Overnight Santa Clara. All meals included.
Day 5: Santa Clara - Cienfuegos – Trinidad
Visit the monument of the armoured train 'Tren Blindado', a relic from the revolutionary war which marked the victory over Batista’s regime.
Continue to the attractive harbour city of Cienfuegos, with its French inspired colonial architecture.
Enjoy a cocktail on the roof terrace of the Moorish Palacio de Valle on the peninsula Punta Gorda.
Stroll over the main square José Martí in front of the historic Terry Theatre where Caruso and Sarah Bernhardt performed.
Have lunch at a private restaurant with a beautiful view of the bay.
In the afternoon drive to Trinidad, a UNESCO World heritage site with unique colonial architecture.
Take a guided tour of the museum and walk across the main square surrounded by the magnificent mansions of the sugar barons and visit the quaint 'Canchánchara' bar to taste their honey liqueur.
Overnight Trinidad. All meals included.
Day 6: Trinidad and Sierra Escambray
Today is an early departure up the scenic winding road to Topes de Collantes, past coffee plantations and through the wild landscape of Sierra Escambray.
Continue with a local guide by jeep to the starting point of the trail.
Hike amongst vibrant local flora and fauna and depending on the trail, possibly take a refreshing dip in a natural pool by a waterfall.
Enjoy a rustic lunch at a Finca in the midst of lush nature. In the late afternoon drive back to Trinidad, with the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7: Trinidad - Sancti Spiritus - Camagüey
Drive through the Sugar Mill Valley Valle de los Ingenios with the remains of small 19th century sugar mills, including warehouses, milling machinery, slave quarters and manor houses.
Visit the hacienda Iznaga home of the former sugar barons Iznaga with its imposing slave tower.
Continue to Sancti Spiritus, hardly touched by tourism, with its romantic Yayabo Bridge, built by the Spaniards.
After lunch, drive past green sugar cane fields to Camagüey, known for its tinajones (clay pots that provided a supply of cool water during droughts).
Overnight Camagüey. Breakfast and lunch included.
Day 8: Camagüey - Holguín/Gibara
In the morning walk across the Plaza Agramonte and visit the birthplace of the freedom fighter Ignacio Agramonte.
Drive to provincial Holguín, where Christopher Colombus made landfall in Cuba.
Overnight Holguín or Gibara. Breakfast and lunch included.
Day 9: Holguín/Gibara - Birán - Baracoa
Start early towards Cueto, with a short excursion to the Finca Manacas near Birán.
The birthplace of Fidel Castro has only opened to the public in recent years and offers an interesting insight into his life and the living conditions before the revolution.
From here head for Moa, famous for nickel mining and continue to Baracoa along a spectacular coast road.
Overnight Baroca. Breakfast and dinner included.
Day 10: Baracoa
Baracoa is located at the foot of picturesque Mount El Yunque, surrounded by a lush tropical landscape with coffee, cocoa and banana plantations - pure Caribbean!
In the morning stroll through the colonial heart of Baracoa and visit the church of Nuestra Señora de Asuncion.
Afterwards take a trip to the beautiful natural outskirts of Baracoa.
Drive to Finca Duaba and enjoy a short nature trail and learn about cocoa production before taking a boat trip on the Rio Toa.
Enjoy lunch at a rustic 'Eco-Finca'.
The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 11: Baracoa - Guantánamo - Santiago
After breakfast continue through the tropical mountains via the stunning mountain pass La Farola and along the coast through an arid, desert-like landscape towards Guantánamo - a stronghold of Afro-Cuban Santería and Haitian voodoo cult.
Arrive in Santiago in the afternoon - a city of the revolution and the birthplace of Cuban son (a type of Cuban music) and a melting pot of colours and cultures.
Enjoy a city tour of the main attractions including Parque Cespedes, Casa Velazquez, Calle Heredia and Plaza Dolores.
Visit the legendary Casa de la Trova, where many famous musicians such as Compay Segundo of Buena Vista Social Club started their careers.
Overnight Santiago. Breakfast and dinner.
Day 12: Santiago - El Cobre - Santiago
In the morning drive to El Cobre, located a short distance from Santiago de Cuba and one of the most important pilgrimage shrines in Cuba. Visit the Basilica of the patron of Cuba.
Afterwards drive into the bay of Santiago to take the ferry for lunch on the island of Cayo Granma.
Visit the fortress El Morro before returning to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 13: Santiago - Havana
In the morning enjoy a panoramic tour past the Moncada barracks, attacked by Fidel Castro and his supporters in 1953.
Pass through the former residential area of Vista Alegre, San Juan Hill and Revolution Square.
Visit Santa Ifigenia cemetary with the tomb of Cuban National hero José Martí.
In the afternoon enjoy some time at leisure (depending on your flight schedule) before transferring to the airport for your flight to Havana.
On arrival transfer to your hotel in Havana.

Day 14: Havana 'On Hemingway's trail'
In the morning drive in a classic American car to San Francisco de Paula where the famous US writer Ernest Hemingway used to live during his time in Cuba.
Stop at the finca Vigia, which is nowadays a museum before returning to Havana visiting the El Morro fortress and the Christ statue on the way.
Enjoy a cocktail in the famous 'Bodeguita del Medio' and a visit to hotel Ambos Mundos with Hemingway's workroom 511, where he wrote 'For whom the bell tolls. Have lunch on the rooftop of the hotel.
Enjoy a cocktail at Hemingway's favourite bar 'Floridita' – where he drank his Daiquirí and is now immortalised as a bronze statue.

Day 15: Havana - UK
Transfer to Havana International Airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.
Day 16: Arrive UK
Arrive back in the UK.
