This is a journey for those looking for quite an active trip and to experience the best of Thailand’s nature, scenery, culture and wildlife.

Starting in bustling Bangkok, head out for a guided excursion by bike to discover a side of Bangkok rarely seen.

Don’t worry there will be time too to visit Bangkok’s main sights as well such as the Grand Palace.

Also experience the ‘Flight of the Gibbon’, the world’s longest zip-line through pristine rainforest in Khao Kheo National Park near Bangkok.

From Bangkok head north to the Khao Yai National Park and enjoy a full day Nature Walk and a nocturnal nature drive.

Drive through Thai vineyards before flying north to Chiang Mai, gateway to Thailand’s hilltribe regions.

In Chiang Mai, discover Thailand’s second city with a morning guided bicycle tour and the afternoon to explore independently.

From Chiang Mai head to the hilltribe region and stay overnight in a Lisu Village and choose from a number of different activities.

From Chiang Mai, fly south and enjoy a full day excursion sea kayaking around the limestone Hongs of Phang Nga Bay.

Spend 2 nights amidst the spectacular limestone scenery and ancient rainforest of Khao Sok National Park.

Get close up to the elephants at Elephant Hills, canoe, swim, trek and cruise through Thailand’s most scenic region.

Finally spend 3 days relaxing in a boutique beach resort in Krabi or a destination of your choice.

Enjoy a full day nature trek with a park ranger in the National Park.

Day 7: Khao Yai National Park - Chiang Mai

Drive through vineyards in Khao Yai. Fly to Chiang Mai and transfer to your hotel on arrival with the rest of the day at leisure.

Enjoy a morning cycling tour through rural Chiang Mai with the afternoon at leisure to explore independently.

Day 3: Bangkok

After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel for a morning exploration of Bangkok by bicycle.

Enjoy a fascinating glimpse into the Bangkok of old taking in popular sites such as Chinatown and Wat Arun, whilst also venturing off the beaten path a little bit to some lesser-known sites that are not on the tourist map.

The afternoon is at leisure for you to relax or perhaps visit the Grand Palace or one of Bangkok’s other main sights.

Day 4: Bangkok – Flight of the Gibbon

After breakfast depart for a full day excursion to the highly acclaimed Flight of the Gibbon zip-line attraction.

At over 
3 kilometres long, this is the longest zip-line tour in the world with
 a total of 24 platforms.

High in the tree-tops of a pristine national park at Khao Kheo near Chonburi, an hours drive from Bangkok, experience gliding through the jungle canopy along thrilling wire zip-lines, scenic sky bridges and adrenaline-inducing abseils.

Day 5: Khao Yai National Park

Depart around 7:30 for the 2-hour drive to Khao Yai National Park, some 200 km northeast of Bangkok.

Arrive and check-in at Kirimaya, a boutique luxury resort, nestled at the edge of the park.

After lunch, the afternoon is at leisure to relax. Dinner is served at the hotel, following which embark on a one-hour night spotlighting tour.

Join an open-top pick-up truck fitted with a powerful spotlight for picking out nocturnal creatures such as Deer, Civets, Owls, Porcupines and Snakes.

Binturongs, Small Cats, Elephants and Slow Loris are occasionally also spotted.

Day 6: Khao Yai National Park

After breakfast set out on a full day nature trek with a park ranger.

There are more than 20 trails to choose from, each different in natural beauty and distance. Lunch is taken en-route. After the walk, return to Kirimaya.

Day 7: Khao Yai National Park – Vineyards – Chiang Mai

After breakfast, check out and drive through countryside, which could almost pass for France, were it not for the banana trees and occasional coconut palm, to the vineyard at Grand Monte.

Continue driving through the valley, enjoying excellent views to the second Vineyard, PB Khao Yai Winery and enjoy Thai lunch at the Hornbill Restaurant.

After lunch transfer to the airport for the short flight north to Chiang Mai. On arrival, transfer to your hotel by private car.

Day 8: Chiang Mai

After breakfast you will be collected from your hotel for a morning cycling tour, through charming rural areas surrounding Chiang Mai.

Visit a local school and temples, and experience
 the countryside and traditional Thai way of life in and around Chiang Mai.

The afternoon is at leisure to relax or further explore Chiang Mai. A visit up to the hilltop temple at Doi Suthep is highly recommended.

Day 9: Chiang Mai – Lisu Lodge

After breakfast depart for the 90-minute journey to the Lisu Lodge, a comfortable lodge run by Lisu villagers, offering a great insight into the way of life and culture of the Lisu.

On arrival, tour the village with a villager, visit a temple and stop for tea at the house of the shaman who will explain local beliefs and customs.

In the afternoon, visit the village museum and then choose from a guided bike tour around the Lisu Lodge area, steam bath or massage, or an Ox-cart ride through farmlands and orchards to the Thai Village of Baan Pang Mai Daeng.

A further one-hour activity can be arranged at a nominal cost.

Dinner is served at the lodge in the evening to the accompaniment of traditional Lisu dancing.

Built in traditional Lisu style with an eye for western comforts, the Lisu Lodge overlooks the lush fields and hills surrounding the valley and serves as a base camp for a magical blend of adventure, relaxation and insight.

Is this a Private Tour or a Group Tour?

All of our tours are private tailor made itineraries, customised for you - we can amend things to entirely suit you.

You will have your own private car, driver and guide on excursions.

On this particular trip the excursions in Khao Yai and Khao Sok are on a shared basis.

What are the departure dates?

As this is a private tour, there are no set departure dates.

Which Airlines do you use?

We work with all the major airlines flying to Thailand.

Typically for Thailand, Thai Airways, EVA Air, British Airways or Singapore Airlines would be airlines we most often use as well as Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways.

However, just let us know your preferred airline if you have one. We can organise flights from any regional destination in the UK.

Thai Airways, EVA Air and British Airways fly directly to Bangkok.

We're careful with our choice of hotels, but we're guided by our customers also. If you have some preferred hotels, just let us know.

We specialise in boutique hotels and so we will often suggest some of our favourite smaller hotels where we think these will be suitable.

We keep on top of hotel developments in Thailand from our office in Vietnam and regularly inspect the hotels we use.
