Peru offers 3 main regions each one of them with different climate conditions:

The Coast is dry and features warm temperatures all year round being December to March the hottest months.

The highlands have 2 marked seasons, the dry season from May to October (with warm days and cool nights) and the rainy season from November to April.

The rainforest features humid and hot weather all year round. It has 2 seasons, the dry season from May to October, and the rainy season from November to April.

Please keep in mind that special weather conditions apply for Iquitos, where there is no specific rainy season but there is a variation on water level.

High water season along the Amazon River takes place from December through May and Low water season from June until November.

Please keep in mind that the Inca Trail is closed in February.
