In August the Western and Southern coasts of Sri Lanka are still under the influence of the Southeast monsoon. However, the rainfall levels actually take a bit of a dip in August, meaning that August can be rather more settled for a relaxing beach holiday in Sri Lanka than the preceding and following months.
