Colombia's Caribbean Coast offers over 1500 km of palm-lined beaches, historic cities and beach resorts to lure visitors to the Caribbean side of Colombia.
The highlight of coastal Colombia is Cartagena, which we deal with in a separate section. A couple of hours down the coast is Santa Marta, with it's partially restored colonial centre and heady mix of rum, beach resorts, sunshine and fiesta.
Going down a few paces, Tayrona National Park has some of the most scenic beaches in South America and there are some nice boutique resorts along this stretch of coast offering an 'away from it all' vibe.
