Colombia is without doubt the up and coming destination in South America, with so many attractions in a relatively small area, a lively, vivacious and welcoming people and more than a few surprises up it's sleeve.

Most visitors arrive in Bogota and may be surprised to find a city rapidly modernising and with a great selection of boutique hotels in the historic Candelaria district. The preserved colonial mountain town of Villa de Leyva is just a short distance away.

On the Caribbean Coast, Cartagena is a delight, with it's historic houses, balconies brimming with bougainvillea and it's relaxed Carib vibe, where spontaneous music and fiesta are never far away.

The Coffee Zone in central Colombia is a great change of pace and a visit to Medellin, once ruled by the Escobar drug cartel is now a city on the move and a great insight into the changes taking place in Colombia today.
