Amankora Paro
About Amankora Paro
At an elevation of 2,250 metres, Paro Valley makes a beguiling start or an atmospheric end to an Amankora journey.
Hidden in thick pine the 24-suites of Amankora Paro, with walls clad in wood and black steel panelling, contrast rustic elements with contemporary design.
Amenities include king-size beds and banquette window-seats. In one corner is a traditional bukhari - a wood-burning stove.
Opening from the bedroom is the spacious bathroom which is dominated by a large terrazzo bath flanked on one side by twin vanities and hanging space, and on the other by a separate shower and lavatory.
Hiking and cycling are arguably the best ways to explore the incredible landscape, and every lodge offers an exhaustive list of options and routes.
In addition, guests will be given a 'top ten' list of experiences to try in each locality.
What's so Special?
As at all other Amankora Resorts, a spa can be found at the Paro lodge offering signature treatments.
Tutoring in the art of archery with traditional bamboo bows are also on offer. For more adventure, a 2-day trek through the Paro Valley to the Jili Dzong can be arranged during a stay at the Amankaro Resort in Paro.
