Day 1: UK - Paphos

Fly from the UK to Paphos where you will be met on arrival and transferred to your chosen hotel in Limassol.

Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight Paphos.

Day 2: Lefkara - Larnaca

After breakfast you will be met by your guide for today’s tour.

Begin with a visit to the village of Lefkara, renowned for its unique architecture, charming narrow streets and limestone-built houses.

Next head to the city of Larnaca, built on the ruins of Kition. Pass by Hala Sultan Tekke, and the village of Kiti, home to the church of Panayia Angeloktisti with its magnificent mosaics dating to the early Christian period.

After a short city tour, visit the cathedral of St. Lazarus, originally built in 900 AD.

Day 3:  Nicosia

Today enjoy a full day tour of Nicosia.

The heart of the city, enclosed by the 16th century Venetian walls, is dotted with museums, ancient churches and medieval buildings preserving the nostalgic atmosphere of years past.

The famous Famagusta Gate still stands today, proudly protecting the still-ancient town within from the modern city without.

From there, drive to the cathedral of St. John the Evangelist with its 13th and 18th century wall paintings; depicting scenes from the Bible and the discovery of the tomb of St. Barnabas in Salamis.

Your next visit will be the Archaeological museum with its fascinating collection of Cypriot antiquities and treasures from the Neolithic age to the Early Byzantine period.

Next continue to the old town of Nicosia and arrive at “Laiki Geitonia” where you can stroll at leisure down its stone paved streets.

Explore famous Ledras street and enjoy lunch in a local restaurant with some time at leisure for shopping.

Day 4:  Kykkos – Troodos – Kakopetria

Enjoy a full day tour of the Troodos Mountains and Kykkos Monastery.

Kykkos is the most famous and richest monastery on the island. Founded in 1100 and dedicated to the Virgin Mary, it possesses one of the three surviving icons ascribed to St. Luke.

The Kykkos Museum is an integral part of the monastery and houses a priceless collection of icons, consecrated vessels, manuscripts and Cypriot antiquities.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in the area.

Drive through picturesque villages to Kakopetria village where you will visit the church of Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis which stands painted with murals dating from the 11th to the 17th century and is considered one of the most interesting Byzantine churches in Cyprus.

Day 5:  Kolossi - Kourion – Omodos

Today enjoy a full day tour of Limassol and Omodos Village.

Visit the medieval Castle of Limassol where according to tradition, after conquering the island in 1192, King Richard the Lionheart married Princess Berengaria of Navarre in the castle’s small chapel.

Passing through the Fassouri citrus plantations you will come across the medieval Castle of Kolossi, a fine example of military architecture originally constructed in the 13th century during the crusades.

After the Siege of Acre in 1291, it served as the Grand Commanderie of the Knights of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem; and thus gave its name to the world famous Commandaria wine, which is still produced in the area.

Your next visit is to the ancient Kingdom of Kourion, which is located on one of the most spectacular sites in the island, with extensive archaeological ruins including well-preserved mosaics.

Next, proceed to Omodos village, renowned for its Monastery of the Holy Cross standing by the stone-paved square.

Visit the local bakery for demonstrations and tasting of the local products, such as arkatena bread and shoushoukos dessert.

A traditional wine press known as Linos is preserved here, where you will stop and sample the local wines and liqueurs.

A traditional lunch will be served at a local tavern in Omodos village.

After lunch, you can stroll around the village’s winding streets and mingle with the locals and do some shopping at the various small shops selling traditional Cypriot items such as crafts, lace and local delights.

Day 6: Paphos

Today enjoy a full day tour of Paphos, with your first visit being to the Tombs of the Kings.

Continue to The Church of Panayia Chrysopolitissa, where within the compound one can see St. Paul's Pillar.

Enjoy your lunch with stunning views of the fishing harbour and the medieval castle of Paphos.

In the afternoon, visit the archaeological site, home to Roman mosaics, dating from around the 3rd century AD.

Day 7: Paphos - UK 

Your driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight back to the UK.

Fly back to the UK.
