Cuba enjoys of a tropical climate almost all-year-round with an average temperature of 24ºC.
The island has 2 marked seasons, the dry season (November – April) and the wet season (May – October).
The dry season offers sunny days and warm weather with temperatures ranging from 24ºC to 27ºC. Cuba’s dry season, November to April coincides with the tourist high season (our winter months).
In January and February temperatures drop in Havana down to 16ºC, still the water temperatures remain warm all-year-round perfect for swimming.
During the rainy season the country is affected by an annual hurricane season (June-November), with September and October having the highest number of hurricanes.
If possible is advisable to travel outside the peak tourist season especially around Christmas, Easter holidays and July and August.
During this time beaches and resorts are nearly full, rates are higher and it might be tricky to find a room or rent a car.
If you are thinking of Cuba as your next holiday destination, we strongly recommend to book at least 9 – 12 months in advance.
