About Amankora Thimphu

Amankora Thimphu is a luxury boutique retreat, close to Thimpu but still essentially a secluded retreat, set in the upper reaches of the Motithang area.

The style is reminiscent of Bhutanese Dzong (fortresses) with tall white-washed walls and a central courtyard.

Amankora Thimpu has just 16 luxury Suites all of which feature a separate lounge, a bukhari wood-burning stove and window chairs from which to enjoy the views across a landscaped courtyard or of a stream and pine forest.

Bathrooms feature terrazzo-clad bathtubs, twin vanities, a separate shower and toilet.

Dining is either in an outdoor courtyard or in the wood-panelled restaurant.

As with all Aman properties there is a spa - this one offers 3 treatment rooms.
