Kura Design Villas in Costa Rica’s Central Pacific region is one of the best luxury villa hotels in Costa Rica and ideal for a luxury Costa Rica honeymoon.

Kura Design Villas is the dreamchild of architect Martin Wells and biologist Alejandra Umaña who combined their talents in design and love of art and nature.

Six spacious and beautifully designed private villas are set amidst lush rainforest, with private villas offering stunning ocean views and glorious sunsets over the Pacific Ocean.

There’s plenty to do in the area and there is encouragement to get out and sample local restaurants and contribute to the local economy by enjoying excursions into this beautiful region of Costa Rica.

The location close to Bahia Ballena means that Humpback Whale watching in season (July-October and December to March) is a popular excursion.

Kura Design Villas also has an on-site spa, great restaurant and a lovely infinity pool.

Bear in Mind

It’s over 16’s only here, unless you rent all the villas.

Each villa has an iPad and Free Wi-Fi but note that there are no televisions in the villas.

The hotel is normally closed in September which marks the height of the rainy season.

Both Suite Villas (88 sq. m.) have an open-plan design, luxurious amenities and breathtaking forest and ocean views.

Infinity Villas

The two Infinity Villas (88 sq. m.) are secluded in private areas, with ocean views, extra-wide terraces and a greater degree of intimacy and exclusivity - ideal for romance and relaxation.

Junior Suite Villas

For couples seeking a sexy, irresistible retreat fused with a dash of adventure, the Junior Suite Villas (75 sq. m) provide a luxurious front-row seat to the tropical rain forest!

Located below the Suite Villas, they offer the perfect natural perch for bird watching. Toucans, parrots, cusingas, birds of prey and hummingbirds abound - so be sure to use the in-villa binoculars.

Kura's interior's are fitted with custom-made furniture and fixtures.

All of the 6 villas at Kura feature mood lighting, indoor/outdoor showers, extra high celings, and a balcony overlooking the lush Uvita valley canopy.
