Ras Al Jinz is a fishing village located between Muscat and Sur on the Arabian Gulf coastline of Oman.
The beach here is world renown as a vital nesting ground for endangered green turtles, probably the most important nesting concentration on the Indian Ocean.
The centre conducts guided excursions every night to view the turtles and witness the nesting process.
The Reserve was officially designated in 1996 and now has two types of accommodation for visitors - hotel rooms and luxury eco-tents.
