The Island Lodge
The Island Lodge Thoi Son offers just 12 rooms in a very homely owner-operated lodge in the Mekong Delta.
The Island Lodge is just 15 minutes from My Tho, on the largest of the four islands located near to the city.
The island can be visited on foot, by bicycle or even by horse carriage. If you are up early, we suggest taking a ride to the village market to plunge deeper into Vietnamese life.
The 8 Mekong River View Rooms (34 sq. m) are set on the first floor of the main building with views over the trees and local Vietnamese artworks inside.
What's so Special?
The atmosphere is homely and welcoming and the rooms are very comfortable.
The food is great here - the owner has taken great care to ensure things run very well and the Mekong views from the River View Rooms are a treat.
We love the combination of having plenty to do in the area and the chilled-out relaxing atmosphere of the lodge.
Garden View Rooms
Facing the Garden, these rooms offer a bit more space than the River View rooms and are a good option for families.
Bathrooms feature bathtubs and twin vanities.
Large terraces look out on to the tropical gardens.
River View Rooms
River View rooms feature tiled floors and bamboo furnishings creating a homely, comfortable living space with Asian touches.
Open-ceilinged Rainforest showers are a nice feature and the large balconies offer great river views.
Dining
The dining is great at the Island Lodge.
Breakfasts are cooked to order. Lunches and dinners are served in the open restaurant or by the pool.
It’s also possible to organise a private table at the end of the jetty.
Facilities
The lodge has a nice pool and organises spa treatments.
