Now it’s time to discover Colombia, an amazing country full of surprises, home to the world’s best coffee, charming colonial cities and welcoming people.
Panamá is one of Central America’s most desired destinations. Main highlights include the legendary Panamá Canal and superb beaches in Bocas del Toro or Comarca de Guna Yala.
Begin in Bogota, high in the Andes and discover the colonial centre of Bogota, La Candelaria and get a stunning view over the city from Monseratte.
From Bogota visit the perfectly preserved colonial era town of Villa de Leyva, with a stop at the Salt Cathedral on the way.
Spend 3 nights in spectacular Cartagena, a highlight of any tour of Colombia.
Fly to Panamá and visit the historic town, Panamá Viejo and the great Panamá Canal. You will also enjoy a day tour to the Emberá Katumá Community.
Head to Bocas del Toro, an idyllic archipelago located on the Caribbean side. Return to Panamá City for your overnight flight back home.

Day 1: UK – Bogotá
Upon arrival at El Dorado Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Overnight Bogotá.
Day 2: Bogotá
After breakfast, half day visit to the historic centre known as La Candelaria, the Botero museum and the gold museum.
Afternoon at leisure.

Day 3: Bogotá – Zipaquirá – Villa de Leyva
After breakfast, departure from Bogotá to the north, towards Zipaquirá.
After a journey of roughly 1.15 hours reach the impressive Salt Cathedral, a true feat of engineering.
Continue on a 2-hour trip to Villa de Leyva, one of the area’s most beautiful towns.

Day 4: Villa de Leyva – Bogotá – Cartagena
After breakfast, return to Bogotá. On the way, take a break in the Convento del Santo Ecce Homo. Arrival at El Dorado Airport in Bogotá for departure flight to Cartagena. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Day 5: Cartagena
Start with a panoramic view of the city from the Monasterio and Iglesia de La Popa.
Then, visit the Ciudad Vieja (old city) and the Convert and Church of the San Pedro Claver.

Day 6: Cartagena
Day at leisure.

Day 7: Cartagena – Panamá City
Transfer to the airport for flight to Panama City. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Day 8: Panamá City – Half Day Miraflores Locks
After breakfast, visit to the Panama Canal, a magnificent work of engineering, the one Balboa had dreamt about since 1513.
After 30 and 40 minutes of route, you will reach the Visitor Centre of Miraflores Locks, from which you will be able to see in detail ships moving along the canal and the way it operates.
Continue to the Amador Causeway which offers one of the best panoramic views of the city.
Visit the neighbourhoods located at the foot of Ancón Hill, the highest point in the city.

Day 9: Panamá City – Emberá Katumá Community
After breakfast at the hotel, road transfer to the little pier of Gamboa, 25 minutes away from Panama City, where you will board a pirogue, a motor canoe.
The Emberá are native of the Darién, who in turn come from the Chocó, Colombia. T
hey live at the edge of the river in little communities of thatch roofed palafittes named tambos, for counteracting humidity and avoiding floods.
Men dedicate themselves to manufacture the famous pirogues, canoes made by shaping logs, used to navigate even during the dry season.
Women, as for them, make splendid baskets, plates and masks out of vegetal fibre and delicate knitting.

Day 10: Panamá – Bocas del Toro
Early transfer to the Airport of Albrook for flight to Isla Colon in Bocas del Toro. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.
Bocas del Toro Islands are located in the western end of the country.
The archipelago is formed by six main islands: Colón, Bastimentos, Solarte, San Cristóbal, Popa and Cayo Agua, and by several coral atolls and islets offering dream beaches surrounded by palm trees, a spectacular barrier reef, several sea species, emerald-green waters, mangroves, tropical forests inhabited by an incredible fauna and a lush flora.
Each island has its own personality and natural beauty. It is a world that turns around water and nature where aquatic taxis are the sole means of transportation.

Early transfer to Tocumen International Airport of Panama City for your overnight flight back to the UK.
