This Classic Vietnam itinerary covers the best of Vietnam in a trip covering the north, centre and south of Vietnam.

This trip will take you on a tour from Hanoi in the north of Vietnam, via Halong Bay, Hue, Hoi An, Saigon and the Mekong delta. It's a well-worn path for a reason and will ensure you see the highlights of Vietnam.

Where this trip differs is that we have included plenty of activities and experiences to get you closer to the Vietnamese culture and way of life. It's a great itinerary for those interested in authentic experiences and a bit of activity.

In Hanoi’s Old Quarter you'll visit the tiny home of a musician and a family who have dedicated their lives to the single-string dan bau.

Hear their life stories and discover a love for their traditional music that goes back generations. The next day set out on a morning cycling excursion into the rural area around Hanoi.

In Hue you'll be taken on a vintage vespa to visit a local family where dinner is hosted and family stories are shared.

You'll visit a private temple and meet the grandson of a former King's Mandarin and learn about life in the Imperial Court.

From Hoi An, slip away from the crowds and into the central Vietnam highlands to the Truong Son Mountain range on a Hoi An jeep tour. Climb into an open-air, fully-renovated American war-era jeep and set off on a memorable adventure.

In Saigon you'll be out exploring by vintage vespa and discovering some of the city away from the main sights.

Head to the Mekong Delta for an overnight private sampan cruise on the Mekong Delta before returning for your last night in Saigon. Add on a Phu Quoc beach extension if you wish.

All of our Vietnam tours are private tailor made itineraries, customised for you - we can amend things to entirely suit you.

You will have your own private car, driver and guide on excursions.

What are the departure dates?

Let us know your preferred dates of travel and we will find the best and most suitable flights to fit your itinerary.

As this is a private tour of Vietnam, there are no set departure dates.

Which Airlines do you use?

We work with all the major airlines flying to Vietnam.

Typically for Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines, Thai Airways, Singapore Airlines or Qatar Airways would be airlines we most often use.

However, just let us know your preferred airline if you have one. We can organise flights from any regional destination in the UK.

Vietnam Airlines fly directly to Vietnam from the UK and have a modern fleet of aircraft including 787 Dreamliners and Airbus A350's.

Which Hotels in Vietnam do you use?

We're careful with our choice of hotels, but we're guided by our customers also. If you have some preferred hotels, just let us know.

We specialise in boutique hotels and so we will often suggest some of our favourite smaller hotels where we think these will be suitable.

We keep on top of hotel developments in Vietnam from our office in Vietnam and regularly inspect the hotels we use.
