Sarawak Discovery

This Borneo journey is a combination of a 9-day Sarawak tour, with a few days relaxing at the beautiful Gaya Island Resort.

You'll fly into Kuching and have a full day trip to Bako National Park which is a beautiful coastal national park protecting mangroves and colonies of Proboscis Monkeys.

From Kuching head into the interior of Sarawak for a 2-night stay at Nanga Sumpa lodge where you will experience Iban culture and explore the region surrounding the traditional longhouse.

Head back to Kuching for a night and the following day visit Semenggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre where you can see semi-wild Orangutans in their natural habitat.

Fly to Mulu National Park and spend 2 days in the park, exploring the 4 major caves which are among the most dramatic caves in the world. Witness the spectacle of millions of bats leaving Deer Cave at dusk

The second part of your Borneo adventure will be in the the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, just off the coast of Kota Kinabalu. This sizable Malaysian island has been protected as a reserve since the early 1920's.

Gaya Island Resort is a luxury resort offering some of the best accommodation in Borneo and is the ideal complement to a wildlife tour of Borneo. We've included your stay on a Full Board basis but if you prefer room and breakfast, just let us know.
