Visit Gayasan National Park, Andong and the lake at Chungju before heading to the east coast and a temple stay at Seoraksan National Park.

Day 1: UK – Seoul
Fly from the UK to Seoul
Day 2: Seoul
On arrival in Seoul you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel.
The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 3: Seoul
After breakfast, enjoy a morning tour of Seoul, including the National Museum, Gyongbok Palace and Seoul Tower on Mt. Namsan for a view of the city.

Day 4: Seoul – Mount Songnisan National Park
Depart Seoul and visit the Korean Folk Village to discovering living Korean heritage.
Head on to the National Park and visit Beopjusa Buddhist Temple before overnighting near Songnisan National Park.
The cherry blossoms in the spring, the green pine forest of summer and the lovely autumn colours make Mount Songnisan one of the most beautiful parks in South Korea at any time of year.

Day 5: Gyeongju
Today continue to Gyeongju and enjoy an afternoon excursion around Gyeongju.
The capital of the Shilla Kingdom for almost a thousand years, Gyeongju is a significant and fascinating heritage site.
Visit Cheomsongdae Astronomic Observatory, the Royal Tumuli Park & Bulguksa Temple.

Day 6: Gyeongju
After breakfast, enjoy a full day tour of Gyeongju, visiting Seokguram Grotto, The 4 face Buddha & Gwaeneung Royal Tomb. Also take a scenic drive to the Yangdong Folk Village Port.

Day 7: Busan
After breakfast, visit Unmoonsa Temple before travelling on to Busan, a lively and very pleasant port city on South Korea's South East Coast.
Visit Busan Tower, Jagalchi Fish market & Nampodong Street.

Day 8: Gayasan National Park - Andong - Chungju
After breakfast, transfer to Gayasan National Park and visit the World Heritage Tripitaka Koreana at the Haeinsa Temple.
Visit Andong, with its traditional style noble houses & Hahoe Village, famous for its mask dance.

Day 9: Mount Seoraksan - Temple Stay
After breakfast, take a boat ride on the lake before travelling across the peninsula to Mt. Seorak via Gangneung.
In Gangneung, stop to pay a visit to the Chamsori Gramophone & Audio Museum.
At Mount Seorak, arrive at Naksansa Temple for a temple stay experience.
This is an immersive experience. On arrival, change into temple uniform and attend an evening ceremony of bell ringing, chanting and a short meditation course.
Overnight in a traditional Korean style room with no TV or phone. Bathroom facitilies are shared.

Day 10: Mount Seoraksan
At 3am join in the morning mass and enjoy the view of the sunrise over the East Coast of Korea.
After breakfast, visit the Unification Observatory on the border with the north.
Return to Mount Seorak for a cable car ride to Gwonkeumsansung and a visit to Shinheungsa Temple where you will have the chance to enjoy a hot spring or sauna at Waterpia Spa Park at your own expense.

Day 11: Mount Seoraksan – Seoul
After breakfast, visit the Morning Calm Botanic Park at Gapyeong. (Between December and April this is normally replaced with a visit to the Yangpyeong Film Studio, with all the movie sets).
Transfer back to Seoul with a visit to Itaewon Street included.

Today you will be transferred for your flight back to the UK or to your onward destination.
