Costa Rica July

The weather in Costa Rica in July is in the 'wet season' for much of the country. Rain when it occurs usually comes in the form of afternoon showers or sudden downpours.

July is a quieter month in Costa Rica and as the weather is a bit more uncertain, so the number of visitors decreases. July is the low season along the Pacific Coast, Monteverde and the interior of Costa Rica.

Dirt roads can be impassable in parts of the country although surfing conditions on the Pacific Coast are excellent.

In Tortuguero National Park, Green Turtles come ashore to nest chiefly between July and August.

Being close to the equator, Costa Rica enjoys 12 hours of daylight throughout the year, with sun rising and setting just before 6 am and 6 pm.
