Peru can be visited all year round, due to its various regions and multiple climates, even so there are two marked main seasons.
The dry season, which takes place from May to October and the rainy season, from November to April,
The desert coast offers plenty of sunshine and hot temperatures between December and March, and it gets a bit cooler between April and November.
Weather in the Andes is temperate to cold, with heavy rains from December to March and warm temperatures from June to September.
Last but not least, the jungle offers hot and humid weather all year round with frequent rainfall do its tropical climate.
Temperatures can fluctuate enormously across the country and travellers should take this into account. When packing, it is advisable to include your swim suit, a rain coat and a warm sweater.
