August is the hottest month in the UAE, with average temperatures of 43 degrees in Dubai. It is extremely hot and humid at this time of year, uncomfortably so for most people. Thank goodness for air-conditioned shopping malls.

In the mountains the temperatures are a little lower and temperatures at night can be feel very cold once the sun has set. The desert also can be very cold at night, so warm clothing is essential.
