United Arab Emirates Climate Guide

UAE has a subtropical dry, hot desert climate with little rainfall and searing temperatures in the summer months.

The summer months in UAE from May until October are hot, dry and humid. The average summer temperature in Dubai is around 40 degrees during the day, and 30 degrees at night.

Winter temperatures between November and March are mild and pleasant. Between December and March temperatures are usually in the mid to high 20’s along the coast.

The rain in coastal the UAE, such as it is, falls in these winter months. Any rainfall is usually in the form of a short passing shower once every few days. There is practically no rainfall in the summer months.

One thing to bear in mind in the UAE is the big temperature differences between day and night in the desert and mountains where it can feel very cold indeed once the sun has set.

Also note that because of the high humidity, temperatures can feel much higher.
