Fujiya Hotel

Dating back to 1878, Fujiya Hotel Hakone is one of the most famous and classic historic hotels in Japan and a great option for an overnight stay in Hakone.

Fujiya Hotel Hakone now offers 146 western style rooms at the 5 hotel houses (Main Building, Comfy Lodge, Restful Cottage, Flower Palace and Forest Lodge) built between 1891 and 1960 and in 3 Japanese rooms at Kikka-so Inn, a former imperial villa, built in 1895.

The old charming houses of the Main Building, the Comfy Lodge and the Restful Cottage, the Restaurant House, the Flower Palace and the Kikka-so Inn have designated as cultural assets of historic importance in Japan.

All guest rooms feature hot spring water in all guest rooms.

The hotel has 5 separate accommodation areas: the Main Building, the Comfy Lodge, the Restful Cottage, the Flower Palace and the Forest Lodge.

Standard Rooms

The Standard Rooms are quite small (28 sq. m.) and a little bit basic. We recommend upgrading rooms from these.

Deluxe Rooms

Deluxe Rooms (32-34 sq. m) are more attractive, with retro furniture and a view over Miyanoshita town and the Hakone mountainside.

Superior Rooms

Superior Rooms (47 sq. m) offer more space as corner rooms with large windows and plenty of light.

The Fujiya

The main dining room "The Fujiya" built in 1930 offers traditional French dining and a classical atmosphere.

The Fujiya has elaborate carvings on the walls and gorgeous drawings of over 600 species of Japanese wild plants on its ceilings.

Grill Wisteria

Grill "Wisteria" offers traditional western dishes in a casual atmosphere.

Kikka-So Inn

The Kikka-so Inn, a former Imperial Villa, was built in 1895 and is located across Route 1 from the Fujiya Hotel.

The restaurant offers three traditional Japanese set menus, known as Kaiseki cuisine, in the traditional Japanese house.
