Fukuzumiro Hakone
Fukuzumiro is a popular boutique Ryokan in Hakone, located in a lovely setting, just 15 minutes by foot from Hakone Yumoto Station, making it very convenient indeed.
The ambience at Fukuzumiro is very traditionally Japanese and the tatami-floored traditional Japanese style rooms are excellent.
All rooms at Fukuzumiro are unique but they are almost all very spacious and open.
We recommend upgrading to a river view room.
A stay at Fukuzumiro includes breakfast and a Kaiseki dinner served daily in your room, in the traditional Japanese way.
Fukuzumiro has an onsen which is split between use for men and women during the day.
What's so Special?
Fukuzumiro offers excellent value for those looking to experience a Ryokan stay in Hakone.
Many of the rooms have beautiful views over the river.
Bear in mind
Fukuzumiro is one of the more affordable Ryokan in Hakone and is not a luxury option.
Fukuzumiro is a historic Ryokan so don't expect to find a building without flaws and blemishes - the structure is showing it's age a little bit (some wear and tear here and there), but we think the 'shabby style' is just part of the atmosphere.
Bathrooms are shared here - rooms don't have private bathrooms.
