Mfuwe Lodge
Mfuwe Lodge is an award winning safari lodge set in the most prolific game area of the South Luangwa.
Set inside the park, just five minutes’ drive from the main gate, Mfuwe Lodge has an immediate appeal.
The lodge is set beneath a canopy of ebony and mahogany, with thatched buildings arranged around the banks of two lagoons.
The open deck and swimming pool offer excellent viewing areas for the passing wildlife.
There are 18 thatched chalets with secluded verandas looking out over the lagoons. African style interiors feature comfortable sitting rooms and walk-in showers.
What’s so Special?
This region of South Luangwa is renowned for its prolific game – giraffe, buffalo, antelope, crocodile are constant visitors to Mfuwe Lodge’s lagoon, whilst in November the local elephants regularly wander right through the lobby, lured by a nearby wild mango tree.

Scattered along two lagoons' shady banks lie 18 thatched chalets from where you can enjoy your own private piece of Africa.
Secluded covered verandas look out over wallowing hippo and thirsty game in the lagoons, while the newly refurbished African interiors are the perfect place to wind down with their comfortable sitting rooms and en-suite bathrooms with panoramic walk-in showers.
There are 19 chalets, which include 10 twin rooms, 3 doubles, 3 family rooms and 2 suites.
