About Shangri La Rasa Ria
Occupying a prime stretch of beach fronting the South China Sea about 40 minutes drive from the Borneo’s Kota Kinabalu Airport, the Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort & Spa occupies a secluded and romantic beachfront location touching the edge of the Borneo jungle.
Accommodation ranges from Superior Rooms overlooking the rainforest to the more luxurious Ocean Wing.
Renovations in recent years have left the Rasa Ria looking better than ever. $20 million was spent on upgrading the Garden Wing in recent years.
One of the highlights of the Shangri La Rasa Ria is the adjoining nature reserve.
Shangri La Rasa Ria is a large resort with lots of facilities including swimming pools, Chi Spa, Water sports and a nature sanctuary.
Tennis courts and golf are available and plenty of excursions and activities are available.
There are great activities on offer for kids.

Bear in Mind
The Rasa Ria is 40 minutes by car from Kota Kinabalu and there is very little around or close to the resort.

Rooms are 36 sq. m. in size and offer views of the surrounding rainforest and Nature Reserve. These rooms are split level with a private balcony and are decorated in warm earthy colours with natural wood furnishings.

Deluxe Garden View Rooms are 36 sq. m. with an outlook onto the gardens. Ground floor rooms feature a private lanai whilst upper floor rooms have a split-level layout and a private balcony.

Located on an upper floor, the Garden Wing Deluxe Sea View Rooms offers an elegant haven to enjoy spectacular ocean vistas and romantic nights unwinding on the balcony

Deluxe Family Rooms(36 sq. m) can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children.
They feature a King-size or twin beds plus one set of bunk beds for children.

Coast
Coast is an award winning stylish glass fronted restaurant by the beach. The ambience is futuristic and romantic. The bar is a marine themed affair with mother of pearl motifs and fibre-optic jellyfish chandeliers. Cocktails on the terrace are popular at sunset. The restaurant also offers three private, thatched gazebos for a truly memorable beachside dining experience.
