Pench Tiger Reserve (or Pench National Park officially) is one of the best places in India to see tigers.
Pench differs from the other two main Tiger Reserves in Madhya Pradesh (Kanha and Bandhavgarh) in that the forest is mainly teak here, rather than sal forest, creating a quite different habitat and feel at the park.
It's also far quieter at Pench, with fewer visitors making for quieter safaris. Although there may be higher chances of tiger sightings at Kanha and Bandhavgarh, the forest at Pench is home to rich wildlife and is beautiful in itself.
