Bohol

Scenic Bohol offers the unique Chocolate Hills, the tiniest primate in the world (the Tarsier), 16th century Watchtowers, Baroque Jesuit mission churches, the Loboc River and above all, palm-fringed coastlines which are blessed with a myriad of white sand beaches and sheltering coves.

Bohol in a sense is a little bit of Cebu, Palawan and Boracay all rolled into one – rich history, lush flora, unusual fauna, white sandy beaches and a resort atmosphere.

Added together, Bohol offers a great Philippine Island holiday experience. Tiny Panglao Island offers the best beaches.

Full Day Tour from Cebu

See the best of Bohol in a day. Enjoy a Full Day tour from Cebu to neighbouring Bohol. See the famous Tarsiers (tiny primates), the famous Chocolate Hills and enjoy a lunch cruise along the beautiful Loboc River.

From Cebu, take a one-and-half-hour ferry ride to Tagbilaran in Bohol. Drive through scenic countryside of thick nipa palms, coconut plantations and mahogany forest to the town of Carmen. Visit the Tarsier Sanctuary and walk through its natural habitat.

Visit Bohol's famous Chocolate Hills and go up to the highest point. The Chocolate Hills consist of 1,268 haycock hills with heights ranging from 40-120 metres. During the summer, the dome-shaped grass-covered limestone hills dry up and turn brown, transforming the area into rows and rows of chocolate 'kisses'.

Next board a river 'raft' and enjoy a typical Boholano country lunch while cruising the Loboc River. These river 'rafts' are actually restaurants that consist of two banka-hulls, over which a large wooden platform is placed. On this platform, numerous tables are placed, and a band plays music.

As the boat departs, the buffet of Filipino countryside fare is served. After lunch, return to the port for the ferry back to Cebu. En-route to the port, visit the Baclayon Church & Museum and the marker commemorating Sikatuna and Legaspi’s blood compact (an important memorial of Filipino history).

Return to Cebu later in the afternoon and back to your hotel.

This is a Full Day excursion on a join-in basis.
