China’s development in the last two decades has been nothing short of astonishing and travel to China has opened up considerably.
A first time tour of China should certainly include the highlights – Beijing, Xian, Shanghai and Yangshuo - the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, The Terracotta Warriors, the Li River and the Bund.
For China’s great landscapes, a tour to Yunnan or a Yangtze River cruise should be high on the list. Sichuan has superb cuisine and Giant Pandas and the adventurous may consider a Silk Road tour or travel to Tibet, the rooftop of the world.
Hong Kong has lost none of its appeal and a stopover in Hong Kong can easily be combined with a China Tour or en-route to another destination in the Far East.
