The rains brought with the Southwest monsoon system will have well and truly arrived by July, with much of Myanmar experiencing heavy late afternoon showers.

Still the central plains of Myanmar, including Bagan and Mandalay can remain quite dry during this time of year, so those touring Myanmar in July may encounter mixed conditions, with an intense tropical downpour in Yangon followed by a clear bright sunny day in Bagan.
Temperatures throughout Myanmar are likely to be in the high twenties and early thirties.
With intense rainfall in some areas of the country, the third quarter of the year isn’t the best time of year to be heading off into rural areas of Myanmar as roads can become impassable.
River levels start to rise during this season, making river cruising in Myanmar a great option during this time of year.
