Oman in October

October is a very pleasant time to visit Oman, with milder temperatures after the scorching heat of summer. Temperatures can still be in the 30’s in Muscat in October. As the month progresses, the average temperatures lower gradually. Rainfall levels are low.

In the mountains the temperatures are a little lower and temperatures at night can be feel very cold once the sun has set. The desert also can be very cold at night, so warm clothing is essential.

In the south the Southwest monsoon in Dhofar has usually petered out, leaving dry conditions.
