Oman in September

September is still one of the hottest months in Oman with temperature regularly into the 40’s. As September progresses however, temperatures start to gradually drop back down to more manageable levels. Rainfall on the coast is unlikely.

In the mountains the temperatures are a little lower and temperatures at night can be feel cold once the sun has set. The desert also can be very cold at night, so warm clothing is essential.

In the Dhofar region in the far south of Oman the Southwest monsoon brings rainfall to this region.
