Leshiba Wilderness Camp is a eco-friendly game and nature reserve on top of the Soutpansberg Mountains in South Africa’s Limpopo province.

Leshiba offers accommodation in The Venda Village Lodge, Hamasha Bush Camp and the Indigenous Knowledge Centre with both full board and self-catering options.

Leshiba offers guided walks and game drives as well as adventure horse riding for experienced riders.

Enjoy walking safaris amongst wildlife including rhino, leopard, porcupines and pangolins; walk along spectacular trails through forests, across plains and down beautiful gorges with sparkling pools.

Visit ancient rock art sites and enjoy game drives, guided walks, adventure horse riding, stargazing and more.

What’s so Special?

There are 12 well-marked trails on which to explore the reserve without a guide.

This is one of South Africa’s most bio-diverse environments and is home to a range of flora and fauna, many of which are rare and endangered.

Authentic Venda design and artwork make the experience uniquely African.

Bear in Mind

Leshiba is situated at a high altitude where malaria-carrying mosquitos cannot survive. There has been no incidence of malaria and Leshiba Wilderness Camp is regarded as a malaria free destination.

Leshiba is an eco lodge and the property is solar powered. There is Wi-Fi at The Lodge for anyone who needs to stay connected but limited cell phone reception.

Leshiba has some great wildlife viewing but isn’t a Big-5 reserve.
