Located on a 14,000-hectare private concession within the world famous Addo Elephant National Park, River Bend Lodge is the perfect balance between the Eastern Cape bush and the elegance of fine country living.
The region is home to an abundance of wildlife including the Big 5 and over 300 bird species. Game Drives through the park are an obvious highlight of a stay in Addo Elephant Park.
River Bend Lodge has just eight luxury stand alone suites linked by a meandering path through the lush gardens, each suite a distinctly individual, tranquil and private retreat.
Each colonial styled suite opens up onto a private patio where guests can soak up the scents and sounds of the bushveld.
The main Lodge area offers the formal dining room, "Silverthorns", a comfortable lounge, bar and library.
A tranquil Day Room offers a more informal environment and is equipped with a TV and selection of DVD’s for all ages.
There is also a fully fenced swimming pool that offers a cool retreat on a warm summer’s day.

A unique wilderness experience, famous for its life changing elephant encounters, River Bend Lodge also enjoys a reputation as an excellent culinary and photographic destination, with an in-house professional photographer to assist guests.
River Bend Lodge is one of the few game reserves in the Eastern Cape where you can view the Big 5 all in one wilderness area.

Luxury Suites
The Lodge’s beautiful seven luxury double suites are spacious and individually decorated in a colonial style.
Each of the suites has an en-suite bathroom and leads out onto a private patio which offers majestic views of the Eastern Cape landscape.
All suites are beautifully and tastefully appointed and Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.
All suites are air-conditioned and the King-size beds use percale linen for that extra luxury.
Rooms are equipped with ceiling fans, electronic safes, a mini bar, satellite TV and hairdryer.
En-suite bathrooms have a separate bath and shower and are fully stocked with all the typical amenities.
Suites with inter-connecting doors are available for families.
