Sunshine Marine Lodge is a boutique hotel in Zanzibar’s North-east, on the northern stretch of Matemwe Beach.
The resort is set on a low cliff, with direct access to the beach below and offers spectacular ocean views.
With just 23 rooms, this Zanzibar boutique resort is ideal for those looking for a cosy boutique resort in Zanzibar on one of the best beaches and with access to superb diving and snorkelling in the Mnemba Atoll visible beyond the reef.
Rooms at Sunshine Marine Lodge are set in seven two-storey bungalows, are simply furnished with local flourishes and all offer ocean views.
The Lodge has three swimming pools, a wooden jetty and nicely arranged areas with sun beds or hammocks, ideal for sunbathing or reading a book in a shade of an umbrella.
Activities range from reef walking, biking, deep sea fishing, kite surfing, spice tours,
and of course scuba diving or snorkelling from Dive Point Zanzibar dive centre.

Sunshine Marine Lodge is set a little way apart from other Matemwe hotels and has a very tranquil ambience.
About 600 metres (10 or 15 minutes walk) from the Lodge is one of the last undeveloped beaches of Zanzibar – Muyuni beach, an amazing stretch of white sand.
