Vue Hotel Hou Hai
Vue Hotel Hou Hai is located in a peaceful neighbourhood in Shihichai, next to Lake Hou Hai.
This chic design hotel has quickly garnered a strong following for it's sleek design, pleasant location and quality service.
The location is far enough removed to offer some peace but not too far away as to be inconvenient. At a push it's possible to walk to the Forbidden City.
Rooms are slick and modern and some have private balconies and huge bathrooms - there's a good choice of rooms and suites.
Many rooms have views over the neighbouring square whilst the higher category rooms have terraces overlooking the lake.
Open-style bathrooms, in-bedroom baths and Nespresso machines create a very contemporary and luxurious feel to the accommodation.
There's a great restaurant (Pink Rabbit) located in an old warehouse building and Fab Cafe is a wonderful cafe facing the hutong.
On the 2nd Floor, Moon Bar offers cocktails, views and a small pool (not really a swimming pool).
