This 11-day private tour of Rwanda is ideal for those looking to experience the best of Rwanda including gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes National Park.

Rwanda is a fabulous destination for wildlife on its own, with the contrasting savannah wildlife of the east and the primates in the west and a beautiful landscape in between.

Rwanda is also one of the most developed countries in Africa, with frequent comparisons to Singapore, due o the rapid advances made in the last 25 years.

You'll start your trip in the east at Akagera National Park, where you have two days to discover this big 5 game reserve. You have a boat trip on Lake Ihema included.

In Kigali you'll discover one of Africa's most rapidly developing capital cities.

Head west to Lake Kivu which will be your base for 2 nights for visits to Nyungwe Forest where you will go chimp trekking in this beautiful region of Rwanda.

You'll take a boat trip on Lake Kivu and a nature walk on an island before moving north to the Volcanoes National Park.

Only 90 or so people a day are permitted to enter the National Park for gorilla trekking, so you'll be one of the very few to experience one of the world's greatest wildlife encounters, with the Mountain Gorillas.

You also have a Golden Monkey trek included in the National Park before heading back to Kigali for the final night of your Rwanda adventure.
