Ice Festival & Beijing
Escape the winter to minus twenty degrees!
Not many people visit China in the winter months but this can be a spectacular time to visit.
Things are quieter and the sight of the Temple of Heaven, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall under snow can be quite magnificent.
In addition to Beijing, the Ice Festival in Harbin provides the perfect reason to head to China in the depths of winter.
This spectacular festival is a real marvel and has grown in popularity and scope since its inception.
See the most amazing ice sculptures in the world and a 'town' sculpted from ice.
Pack your thermals, grab a very warm coat, because this is a cold one, but a fantastic, unusual and unforgetable winter escape.
