Ant’s Nest & Ant’s Hill are two separate malaria-free game lodges in South Africa’s Limpopo region, specialising in family safaris and both offering a great value high quality Big-5 Game viewing.

The Bush Camp offers a very rustic and real ‘Out of Africa’ experience.

These two very private bush homes are located on their own private game reserve in the magnificent, malaria-free Waterberg region of the Limpopo province in South Africa.

Both game lodges offer a unique safari experience, with a wide range of activities to keep everyone entertained, from the youngest to the oldest and are a great option for those looking for a family safari holiday to South Africa.

In addition to traditional game drives, guided game walks are also offered, from a gentle stroll down the plains to a more strenuous hike over rugged hills, which enable you to gain a detailed knowledge of African fauna and flora.

There are 70 horses for horseback safaris, and Ant’s Collection offers some of the most exciting game viewing on horseback in Africa, whatever your age or riding ability.

What’s so Special?

Quite uniquely for Game Parks in South Africa, Ant’s accepts children of all ages in a malaria-free game reserve.

Both lodges will tailor-make each day specifically to suit each guest - so wake up when you want and enjoy a time of pure relaxation or action packed excitement.

Ant's Nest and Ant's Hill are owned and run by Ant and Tessa Baber. The Baber family were one of the earliest pioneers in the area, settling here in 1886.

In the mid 1990’s Ant and Tessa renovated an old ranch house, which became Ant’s Nest and, in 2003, built Ant’s Hill above a spectacular gorge, designing each room to make the most of the magnificent view. Bear in mind

Specialising in a home from home experience, both lodges can either be booked exclusively, to one group at a time, or you can book just one room, making it a wonderful destination for families, riders, honeymooners or just good friends travelling together.

To stay at the Bush Camp a minimum of 4 guests are required with a minimum 2-night stay. Rates come down according to the length of stay and number of guests, making this a perfect option for a family of 4 or more.
