Karkloof Safari Spa is a luxury spa retreat in South Africa’s Kwa-Zulu Natal province close to Pietermaritzburg within a couple of hour’s driving distance from Durban.
Karkloof is set amongst a scenic area of Kwa-Zulu Natal and offers a combination of luxury spa getaway and safari experience.
There are just 16 villas at Karkloof Safari Spa set amongst the bush. Streams trickle gently around the villas, which are linked via wooden walkways, connecting them to the Spa, Lodge and dining areas.
The spa itself has 17 treatment rooms all with wonderful views of the surrounding native bush and gardens.
Choose from one of Karkloof’s treatment packages such as weight loss or detox or simply book a stay and choose your treatments when you arrive.
Karkloof sagari spa is set amongst 3,500 hectares of reserve, abundantly stocked with game including White Rhino, Buffalo, Hippo, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest and a multitude of Antelope, Warthog and Monkeys.

Bear in mind
Karkloof doesn’t offer the Big 5 in the wildlife reserve, so there are no large predators such as lion and leopard.
To combine a spa holiday in South Africa with a luxury safari holiday we recommend combining a stay at Karkloof with one of the luxury game parks in the Kruger region such as Londolozi or Chitwa Chitwa.
