Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge is ingeniously set amongst boulders and age old Tamboti Trees on a rocky outcrop offering stunning views in the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve.

Madikwe Hills Lodge is ideal for honeymoons or a romantic safari experience and can accommodates up to 24 guests in vast, well-spaced and completely private glass-fronted suites scattered across the hillside, camouflaged by tamboti-beamed thatch roofs.

Wooden walkways lit by hurricane lamps criss-cross the grounds and connect the suites to the main central lounge, bar, wine cellar, library and dining area.

The heart of the lodge is where dinner is served around 3 large mahogony tables adjacent to a cosy bar area.

The main swimming pool offers cool respite from the harsh African sun.

There are 10 spacious and luxurious suites, each with a cosy living room leading into the bedroom where a four-poster bed overlooks a water hole.

Oversized bathrooms feature deep claw-foot bathtubs and outdoor showers.

Two of the 10 suites can be combined with the Private Villa at Little Madikwe creating an exclusive and private camp for small groups or families of up to 8 people.

The sense of remoteness and unspoilt wilderness is one of the key features of a stay at Madikwe Hills. Self-drive vehicles aren't allowed into the reserve meaning things never feel remotely crowded here.

Madikwe Hills is one of the few lodges in Madikwe that use trackers (spotters) on a tracker seat on the front of vehicles. This allows the ranger to be more interactive with the guests while the tracker looks for tracks and animals.

At night the tracker uses the spotlight, freeing the ranger up to be interactive with the guests instead of driving, operating the radio and having to use the spotlight himself as well!
