Notten’s Bush Camp is a great value and award-winning family run lodge - one of the best kept secret lodges in the exclusive and game rich Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve.

Game viewing takes place in open sided 4x4 Land Rovers and guided bush walks are also available.

In addition to the 'Big Five', the trackers and guides are just as enthusiastic to show guests the smaller fauna and flora

Back in camp, cool off in the swimming pool or relax in the shade on the wooden deck which overlooks the water-hole, frequented by Game.

Notten’s Bush Camp’s consists of 8 beautifully appointed private suites, each with a private game viewing deck.

Each suite has open-plan bedrooms and en-suite bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers.

Game drives tend to take place early morning and mid afternoon and into the night.

In between game drives guests can relax by the pool, laze away on the outdoor lounge sofas or enjoy a spa treatment.

Dinners are served by the fire or around a communal table in the open air boma, the candle-lit summer house or the indoor dining room.

Notten’s offers a truly authentic African safari experience and enjoys a very high number of repeat guests.

Notten's Bush Camp lies in the Southeastern sector of the Sabi Sands in a superbly rich "Big Five" area. It's not unusual to see all the Big Five: Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino in one game drive and get really close to these amazing animals.

At nearly half the price of many other lodges in the Sabi Sands Reserve, Notten’s offers an excellent value safari in the Sabi Sands.

Bear in Mind

The accommodation is a bit simpler than many Sabi Sands lodges.

Early booking is highly recommended and for those looking for a multi-centre stay in the Mpumulanga area, it combines really well with Rissington Inn near Hazyview as either a pre or post safari stay.

Children 6 years and older are welcome, although children under 12 are not allowed on bush walks. Reduced rates for children under 12 are applicable.

All windows and sliding doors are fitted with screens and insect coils are provided.

Each suite leads onto a private wooden deck with a beautiful view of the bush.

Paraffin lamps and candles replace electric lighting for ambience and all the rooms are cooled with an overhead ceiling fan.

The Lodge

The main lodge is built parallel to the edge of a plain on raised wooden decks offering panoramic views over the plains.

The lounge and open-plan dining area features soft cosy sofas and makes for a wonderful setting with indoor and outdoor dining.

Notten’s has a 20m lap pool with an open-plan under cover pavillion. Comfortable sun loungers dot the garden area surrounding the pool.

Notten's Nature Spa offers indoor and outdoor treatments.

Dining

The bar is a popular location at the end of the day.
