The Turbine Hotel and Spa is a boutique hotel in the Garden Route town of Knysna, which offers a unique experience of staying in a luxury design hotel converted from a former power station.

The Turbine Hotel and Spa offers seventeen suites, six luxury suites, a honeymoon suite and the self-catering Water Club apartment.
What’s so Special?
The Turbine Hotel and Spa saw the transformation of an old power station into a unique 5 star boutique Knysna hotel on the Garden Route with a massive wow factor.
All the old machinery used in this power station has been lovingly restored and forms an integral part of the Turbine Hotels’ aesthetics.
The Turbine Hotel and Spa has seventeen suites, six luxury suites, a honeymoon suite and the self-catering Water Club apartment.
All suites have individual décor and art, split extra large King-size beds and a card access system. Bathrooms have a separate shower and bath, two basins and heated towel rails.
The Honeymoon Suite has a separate lounge area and the Water Club Apartment has self-catering facilities including a fully stocked open plan kitchen, microwave, fridge freezer and a washing machine.

Bar
The Turbine has three bar areas located in different positions around the hotel each with their own unique setting.
The Tapas Bar is located upstairs next to the Island Café; there is an outside deck bar area as well as a Pool deck that overlooks the canal.
Restaurants
The Turbine has two restaurants. The Tapas Bar serves light meals for lunch and dinner.
The Island Café serves a la carte for breakfast, lunch and dinner seating 90 guests.
Pool Deck
A rim flow pool with the deck facing onto the canal offers a place for relaxation and enjoying the outdoors on the sun loungers.
Amani Spa
The Amani Spa offers a wide variety of Spa treatments; massages, luxurious facials, manicure and pedicures, hydrotherapy treatments & tailor made Spa packages.
Turbine Water Club
The Turbine Water Club offers a wide variety of activities on both land and the Knysna lagoon.
Disabled Facilities
The Turbine is a disabled friendly hotel. There is a disabled room to cater for any disabled guests as well as a disabled toilet downstairs for any restaurant and bar guests.
General Areas
There are many places to sit and relax around the hotel in amongst the machinery inside, as well as outside in the courtyard.
The library has computers with Internet facilities. The wine cellar is situated upstairs in the Island Café in a great location surrounded by the turbines.
The Curio shop is fully stocked with all local Knysna products as well as guest amenities.
