Villa Araliya

Villa Araliya is a charming boutique hotel which is a refreshing change from most of the hotels on Negombo which can be very “touristy”.

Villa Araliya (named after a type of tree) is on the quiet southern end of Negombo, and consists of just 17 rooms which are enhanced by small artistic touches and decorations.

The hotel offers a 16m long swimming pool and is lovingly managed by a local and his Dutch wife.

The hotel offers a restaurant specialising in seafood and there is also a stone pizza oven. Dining can be arranged by the pool-side or in the garden.

Villa Araliya is at the budget end of accommodation in Negombo but is a lovely, homely well-run hotel for a night or two on arrival or departure.

Rooms are located around the swimming pool, with garden and pool facing rooms.

There are 5 private veranda villas, three 2-bedrooms and 2 double apartments.

Nice touches include hand crafted furniture.

Standard rooms are spread across the two storey building.

Apartment rooms feature an open living area, TV and a fully equipped kitchen.
