What's Western Bali like?

Bali - Western Bali

Western Bali is a little visited region of Bali characterised by rocky and black sand coastlines and traditional villages. There is relatively little tourism in this region of Bali, largely due to the relatively low quality of beaches.

A visit to Western Bali is a great way to experience a side of Bali away from the crowded resort areas, to learn something of life and culture on the island and to settle down to a different pace.

Puri Dajuma is a lovely family owned hotel on the West Coast which offers a great opportunity to discover this part of Bali and even participate in Balinese life and activities.

Full Day Ubud Tour

See the best of Ubud on this full day tour. Visit the artistic villages surrounding Ubud, Ubud’s Monkey Forest, the Holy Spring at Tampaksiring and the fascinating Elephant Cave at Bedulu.

The villages surrounding Ubud each specialise in a different art, such as stone carving, woodcarving or painting.

See Ubud’s charming Monkey Forest before visiting the local markets, where shopping opportunities abound!

After lunch (not included), continue on to the temple & holy spring of Tampaksiring. The last stop on this full day tour is the Elephant Cave (Goa Gajah) at Bedulu, an interesting site which is a former hermitage for local Buddhist monks.
